Joe Norlin is the Chief Financial Officer at Meraki Private Equity, overseeing the firm’s accounting, financial operations, and strategic planning. With over 20 years of experience, including roles at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Joe brings deep expertise in financial management and regulatory compliance. A Certified Public Accountant, he is known for his disciplined approach and leadership. Outside of work, Joe enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
MASON DEAN
Mason is a Private Equity Analyst at Meraki Private Equity, where he builds and maintains financial models, assesses investment opportunities, supports deal execution, and works closely with senior team members on strategic projects and firm initiatives. His career has been focused on financial planning, case design, and building strong relationships. Outside of his day-to-day responsibilities, Mason enjoys playing golf, coaching youth baseball, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams.
TESSA TRETTEL
Tessa is the Director of Partnerships at Meraki Private Equity, providing technical, administrative, and human resources support to the firm’s partners while developing and maintaining key relationships. She has built her career in human resources, bringing deep experience in talent operations, employee engagement, and people-centered organizational development. Beyond Meraki, Tessa can often be found riding her horse, skiing, wake surfing, coaching youth soccer, baking, or spending time with family and friends.
AARON BROWN
Aaron is a corporate and M&A attorney with more than seven years of experience advising financial services companies on transactions and corporate governance matters. He has practiced at several national law firms and, prior to joining Meraki Private Equity, worked in-house at a major financial services company, where he advised on acquisitions, divestitures, strategic partnerships, and subsidiary governance. Aaron is also a published author on emerging regulatory issues related to firearms, controlled substances, and domestic-violence public policy. When he’s not practicing law, he enjoys spending time outdoors and hiking with his wife and young son.
ALAN WOLDT
Alan is the Managing Partner at Meraki Private Equity where he guides strategic investment initiatives by expanding firmwide engagement and shaping the firm’s presence in the marketplace. Backed by 30+ years of business development, he brings vast and meaningful commercial insight to the organization. Alan also has significant experience in early stage investing, private equity, and M&A. In his spare time, Alan enjoys family time, golf, and pursuing his passion for aviation.
JACK LEACH
Jack leads Meraki Private Equity as its President, backed by a robust track record in private equity, venture capital, transaction advisory, and public accounting. He has managed numerous $100MM+ investment funds, directed advanced financial modeling, and helped define firmwide investment strategy. Jack’s venture capital experience has further refined his expertise, enabling him to build strong relationships with startup founders, investment bankers, and other executives. Away from the office, Jack enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Paige and dog, Enzo.
